Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Risk & Controls Consultant to support the successful completion of our Process Domain Risk & Control uplift initiative. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in technology process domains, risk and control frameworks, and hands-on experience with GRC platforms and RCSA (Risk and Control Self-Assessment) execution. This is a contract position through year-end, with immediate onboarding preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of risk and control structures across designated technology process domains
  • Build and finalize risk and control documentation within an enterprise GRC platform (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow GRC, MetricStream, or similar)
  • Complete and operationalize the associated RCSAs, ensuring alignment with internal risk frameworks and regulatory expectations
  • Work closely with Risk, Audit, and Technology teams to validate control coverage and close gaps
  • Support audit readiness, internal control documentation, and quality assurance across domains
  • Provide expert input into process improvement and standardization efforts related to technology risk

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT risk, control assessment, or technology process governance
  • Proven experience completing RCSA exercises and defining control libraries
  • Strong knowledge of GRC platforms and workflows (Archer, ServiceNow GRC, MetricStream, etc.)
  • Familiarity with IT control frameworks (e.g., NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, SOX, or internal risk policies)
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface with stakeholders across risk, audit, and technology

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with large-scale risk and control uplift or remediation programs
  • Background in financial services, healthcare, or highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with agile GRC implementation or sprint-based project models

This is a critical, high-impact role in a transformation initiative. You'll play a direct part in strengthening enterprise-wide risk posture and improving governance structures — with executive visibility and the ability to hit the ground running.

Our benefits package includes:

  • Comprehensive medical benefits
  • Competitive pay
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • …and much more!
