Title: General Facility & Office Support – Facilities Support
Location: Union, SC
Duration: 12+ months
Compensation: $18/hour
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Description:

This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in buildings, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for occupants.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
•  Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
• Wipe mirrors and windows
• Maintain outer premises by watering plants, mowing lawn, cleaning entrances/parking areas, or pressure washing side walks.
•  Support in securing the facility after business hours by locking doors, and reporting any safety concerns to the on site security representative.
• Other custodian / janitorial related activities as required.

Working Conditions:

• Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
• Sitting, walking, standing, kneeling, and crouching frequently
• Use hands to reach, finger, handle or feel objects, or tools
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration and/or moderate noise levels
• Lift and carry up to 45 lbs

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED is required
•  Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role
•  Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
•  Highly thorough and dependable
