Duration: 12+ month contract
Compensation: $45.00 – 49.50/hr.

This role offers the opportunity to directly impact product quality and manufacturing efficiency by ensuring the highest standards in printed circuit board (PCB) testing and yield optimization. You'll be part of a collaborative environment working closely with engineers in R&D, manufacturing, and test development to deliver mission-critical hardware.

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
As a Quality Test Engineer, you will play a key role in improving test performance, analyzing failure trends, and increasing manufacturing yield. Your work will involve:

  • Investigating yield issues and determining whether failures are true defects or process-related anomalies.
  • Walking the line on the production floor to identify root causes of test failures and bottlenecks.
  • Collaborating with R&D and Test Development teams to enhance test systems, fixtures, and software for better accuracy and throughput.
  • Analyzing test data to identify systemic failure trends and recommend PCB, process, and test system improvements.
  • Developing standardized test procedures and documentation for operators to ensure consistent quality control.

You will use data analysis tools, test automation software, and PCB test equipment to perform root cause investigations and drive improvements in quality and reliability.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

  • Experience with PCB testing and yield improvement in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to analyze test data and identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware issues and collaborating with engineering teams to resolve problems.

NICE TO HAVES

  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting for hardware validation.
  • Experience with failure analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, 8D, SPC).
  • Background in high-volume manufacturing environments and working with cross-functional teams.
