Title: Staff Data Product Manager

Duration: 12+ month contract
Location: Glendale, CA (4x per week onsite)
Rate Range: $95-$109/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for data products, from discovery and requirements to roadmap definition, prioritization, and delivery
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, actionable product requirements
- Collaborate with data engineers to guide the ingestion, transformation, and modeling complex datasets (from small to massive scale)
- Lead the design and implementation of reporting, dashboards, data products and analytics products serving Studio Technology
- Conduct stakeholder demos, roadmap reviews, and backlog grooming in alignment with agile ceremonies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with both technical teams and stakeholder groups, ensuring alignment and value delivery
Basic Qualification:
- 7+ years of experience in product management or product ownership, guiding stakeholder management, roadmap planning, and internal collaboration with technical teams.
- Proven success leading complex, cross-functional data initiatives in a matrixed organization
- Strong understanding of data engineering and analytics workflows, including data ingestion, modeling, and visualization
- Strong communicator comfortable working with executive and technical stakeholders alike
- Comfortable writing user stories, creating test plans, and validating datasets
- Experience working in Agile environments with Jira or similar tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- The staff role covers broader scope, manages multiple teams, and works with diverse stakeholders (e.g., finance, Marvel Comics, e-commerce, content security).
- Staff role requires strong stakeholder management, polished communication, and 7+ years of product experience, especially for executive-level interactions.
- The team structure is matrix-style, with pods managed by product managers; staff-level managers oversee broader departments but do not have direct reports.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree + 5 years of relevant experience
