Overview
Our client is transitioning from Microsoft Dynamics GP to NetSuite and is seeking a NetSuite professional who can support the implementation, stabilization, and long term optimization of the platform. This role blends system administration, configuration, development, and cross functional support to ensure NetSuite becomes the organization's operational backbone.)
This position is structured as a contract role with the potential to transition into a full time opportunity based on performance, business needs, and budget alignment.
Candidates must reside in the St. Louis metropolitan area. The role follows a hybrid schedule of up to 5 days onsite and approximately 1-2 days working from home each week.
Key Responsibilities
NetSuite Administration
- Manage day to day NetSuite operations, including user setup, permissions, roles, and security.
- Maintain system configuration, workflows, saved searches, dashboards, and custom fields.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with NetSuite Support.
- Ensure data integrity through audits, cleanup, and ongoing maintenance.
- Oversee sandbox refreshes, release testing, and change management.
GP → NetSuite Conversion Support
- Support the migration of financial and supply chain processes from GP into NetSuite.
- Assist with data migration planning, validation, and reconciliation (GL, AP/AR, inventory, vendors, customers, historical transactions).
- Translate existing GP workflows into optimized NetSuite configurations.
- Participate in UAT, end user training, and go live readiness.
- Document new processes and help users transition from GP to NetSuite.
NetSuite Development (SuiteScript / Customization)
- Build and maintain SuiteScripts (1.0/2.0) for automation, custom logic, and integrations (nice to have).
- Develop custom workflows, SuiteFlow automations, and SuiteBuilder configurations.
- Support integrations with third party systems (CRM, e commerce, WMS, payroll, etc.).
- Create custom reports, KPIs, and dashboards for finance, supply chain, and leadership teams.
Financial & Supply Chain Module Support
- Configure, maintain, and enhance NetSuite's Financials (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets) and Supply Chain (Inventory, Purchasing, Order Management) modules.
- Partner with Finance and Operations to streamline processes such as procure to pay, order to cash, inventory management, and costing.
- Troubleshoot module specific issues and recommend best practice improvements.
- Experience working in organizations with active financial and supply chain operations is a strong plus.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT to understand requirements and optimize processes.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for NetSuite functionality and best practices.
- Provide training and support to end users across the organization.
- Participate in ongoing enhancement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and configuration records.
- Support audit and compliance requirements (SOX, internal controls, security reviews).
- Ensure proper governance around changes, testing, and deployment.
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of NetSuite administration or development experience.
- Experience supporting or leading an ERP migration (GP → NetSuite preferred).
- Strong understanding of Financial and Supply Chain modules.
- Experience working in companies with active inventory, purchasing, or order management processes is highly desirable.
- Hands on experience with SuiteScript (preferred), SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, and saved searches.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with non technical stakeholders.
- Must reside in the St. Louis area and be able to work onsite up to 5 days per week.
