Compensation: $65.00 – 75.00/hr

Operations Project Manager

Summary
The Operations Project Manager is responsible for leading projects and managing end to end project planning. This includes scope and requirements analysis, resource coordination, budget accountability, and timeline oversight. This person will lead multiple projects. They will also function as a project management consultant to leaders and associates at the VPCs and STS by supporting the successful setup of projects, providing project management tools and resources, supporting change board readiness, and offering ongoing guidance and support.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Lead assigned projects and follow the project management lifecycle outlined by the Strategic Projects team, ensuring on-time completion.
  • Identify tasks, determine dependencies, assign specific resources, communicate expectations to team members, create/track the project schedules, and report on overall project performance.
  • Manage project resources, including staff, contractors, vendors, and equipment, and ensure optimal allocation and utilization.
  • Engage with internal business partners to align priorities, develop, and execute strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Influence leadership through consulting to help them resource projects and execute plans effectively.
  • Engage in day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives across the VPCs and/or STS, ensuring actions are aligned and coordinated across teams
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conducts project risk assessments and provides recommendations for risk mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners and ensure timely and effective information flow.
  • Evaluate project results and lessons learned and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities. Must be able to focus on details as well as relate to the overall goals, strategy, and initiatives.
  • Able to probe multiple sources for answers; can identify hidden problems; anticipates problems that may arise through intentional questioning.
  • Can maintain composure and make effective decisions on multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to address situations promptly and work with a diverse team.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels internally and externally.
  • Must be curious, comfortable trying new technology, tools, methods, and processes to solve problems and make improvements.
  • Ability to maintain a work environment supportive of the organization's inclusive and collaborative culture.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of related experience.
  • Excellent work history and ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products including MS Project.
  • Prior Project Management experience required
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex and cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools, techniques, and methodologies a plus.
  • Certification in project management is a plus.
