Title: Senior Network Engineer, Juniper Focus
Location: Mclean, VA – Onsite 
Duration: 6 Month Contract
Compensation: $45-50/HR W2 
Work Requirements: US Citizen

Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure within a highly regulated environment.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Juniper networking technologies, enterprise routing and switching, network segmentation, and infrastructure operations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring network reliability, performance, security, and scalability while supporting modernization and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Support enterprise network operations across Juniper-based environments
• Execute configuration changes and infrastructure updates
• Perform patching, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle management activities
• Support network modernization and infrastructure refresh initiatives
• Troubleshoot complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues
• Support routing, switching, segmentation, and access control initiatives
• Assist with firewall administration and network security efforts
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams on strategic initiatives
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to network performance, reliability, and scalability
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of Network Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Juniper EX, QFX, and SRX platforms
• Deep Junos OS expertise
• Experience with MPLS and VRF environments
• Strong enterprise routing and switching experience
• Experience supporting production networking environments
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Experience executing network changes independently
• Excellent documentation and communication skills

• CMMC familiarity
• NIST 800-171 exposure
• Government or regulated industry experience
