Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP IBP Consultant / Business Solutions Architect to support Lennox's ERP transformation and Parts Distribution Center (PDC) enablement initiatives.
This role will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP IBP Demand Planning, Supply & Response, and Inventory Optimization solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting high-volume, exception-driven planning environments and will serve as a strategic advisor, bridging business requirements with SAP IBP capabilities while delivering scalable, high-performance planning solutions.

Key Responsibilities
1. SAP IBP Solution Architecture & Implementation

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of:
  • SAP IBP Demand Planning
  • SAP IBP Supply & Response
  • SAP IBP Inventory Optimization
• Design and support integrations using:
  • SAP CPI-DS
  • SAP SDI
  • SAP RTI
• Configure and enhance IBP solutions to support:
  • High-volume transaction processing
  • Purchase orders and order line management
  • Exception-driven planning workflows
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and SAP roadmap initiatives.

2. Requirements Analysis & Gap Resolution

• Facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
• Assess:
  • Standard SAP IBP capabilities
  • Gaps between business expectations and system functionality
• Provide recommendations for:
  • Configuration-based solutions
  • Enhancements and workarounds
  • Alternative approaches when IBP limitations exist

3. Exception-Based Planning & Performance Optimization

• Design and optimize planning solutions supporting:
  • Supply shortages
  • Excess inventory management
  • Supply constraints and exception handling
• Improve scalability, throughput, and system performance for large planning datasets.

4. Business Engagement & Prioritization

• Partner with Supply Chain, Parts Operations, and IT stakeholders.
• Translate business challenges into actionable SAP IBP solutions.
• Define and manage a prioritized roadmap supporting:
  • PDC enablement initiatives
  • ERP rollout phases
  • Post-go-live enhancements

5. Data & Planning Model Design

• Design and optimize:
  • Planning Areas
  • Key Figures
  • Master Data structures
• Support data readiness activities including:
  • Data cleansing
  • Data transformation
  • Data harmonization
• Ensure alignment with ERP and analytics platforms.

6. Integration & End-to-End Planning Flow

• Support integrations between:
  • SAP IBP
  • SAP ECC / S4
  • External reporting and data platforms
• Ensure seamless planning flow across:
  • Demand Planning
  • Supply Planning
  • Execution processes

7. PDC & ERP Transformation Support

• Align IBP capabilities with PDC blueprinting and implementation strategy.
• Identify deliverables for:
  • Initial blueprint phase
  • Post-PDC implementation roadmap
• Support phased deployment and transformation initiatives.

8. Delivery, Testing & Continuous Improvement

• Support the full project lifecycle:
  • Design
  • Build
  • Test
  • Deployment
  • Hypercare
• Lead and support:
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Performance testing
  • Solution validation
• Drive continuous improvement across planning processes and SAP IBP capabilities.

9. Governance & Best Practices

• Ensure adherence to:
  • SAP IBP best practices
  • Enterprise IT standards
  • Governance requirements
• Document solution designs, architecture, and project milestones.
• Support long-term SAP IBP maturity and scalability initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of SAP IBP implementation and solution architecture experience.
• Hands-on expertise with:
  • Demand Planning
  • Supply Planning / Response & Supply
  • Inventory Optimization
• Experience integrating SAP IBP using:
  • SAP CPI-DS
  • SAP SDI
  • SAP RTI
• Strong SAP ERP integration experience (ECC and/or S/4HANA).
• Experience supporting:
  • High-volume planning environments
  • Exception-based planning processes
  • Complex business requirements and solution design
• Full software development lifecycle and architecture experience.

• Experience within:
  • Aftermarket parts organizations
  • Distribution-heavy environments
  • Supply chain transformation programs
• Experience supporting:
  • Multi-ERP consolidation initiatives
  • Enterprise transformation programs
  • High-scale transaction environments
• Exposure to:
  • Data lake platforms
  • Analytics solutions
• Ability to identify SAP IBP limitations and recommend alternative approaches.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
