Title: AI Solutions Engineer
Location: Brentwood, TN on site 3 days per week. 
Duration: 6+ months potential contract to hire. 
Compensation: $80 to $110 per hour W2

Job Description:  
 

We are seeking an experienced AI Solutions Engineer to serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, executive leadership, and AI development teams. This individual will work onsite full-time, leading AI discovery sessions, facilitating requirements gathering, directing AI development priorities, and ensuring that AI solutions align with business objectives.

The ideal candidate combines strong business consulting skills, solution architecture expertise, project leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of AI technologies including Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG architectures, and enterprise integrations.

This role is not a hands-on developer position. Rather, it is a client-facing AI leader responsible for translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions and directing development teams to successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities
AI Strategy & Business Alignment

1. Partner with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and operational teams to identify AI opportunities.
2. Lead AI workshops, discovery sessions, and use-case definition meetings.
3. Translate business challenges into AI-driven solutions.
4. Prioritize AI initiatives based on business value, complexity, and ROI.
5. Develop AI roadmaps and implementation strategies.

Solution Design & Architecture

1. Define end-to-end AI solution architectures.
2. Create technical and functional requirements documents.
3. Design conversational AI, agentic AI, analytics, automation, and decision-support solutions.
4. Evaluate AI platforms, models, frameworks, and integration patterns.
5. Ensure solutions meet security, governance, compliance, and scalability requirements.

AI Development Leadership

1. Direct AI developers, data engineers, prompt engineers, and integration specialists.
2. Serve as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams.
3. Review solution designs and development deliverables.
4. Facilitate sprint planning and backlog prioritization.
5. Remove roadblocks and drive issue resolution.

Client & Stakeholder Management

1. Act as the trusted advisor for client AI initiatives.
2. Present AI concepts and demonstrations to executives and business leaders.
3. Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations.
4. Manage expectations regarding scope, timelines, and outcomes.

AI Governance & Best Practices

1. Establish AI governance frameworks.
2. Define model management and monitoring standards.
3. Ensure responsible AI practices are followed.
4. Create standards for prompt engineering, agent development, and knowledge management.
5. Establish AI performance metrics and success criteria.

Integration Leadership

1. Guide integration of AI solutions with:

3. Service Management platforms
4. Data Warehouses
5. BI and Analytics platforms
6. Knowledge Management repositories
7. APIs and enterprise applications

 
Skillset / Experience:  
Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.

Experience

• 7+ years of enterprise technology consulting experience.
• 3+ years leading AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI initiatives.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience gathering business requirements and creating solution designs.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership and C-level stakeholders.
