IT Development Engineer II – ServiceNow (Identity Management)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Development Engineer II with strong expertise in ServiceNow administration and Enterprise Identity Management (IAM). This role is responsible for administering, configuring, and enhancing the ServiceNow platform while supporting identity lifecycle management, access governance, and integrations with enterprise identity and infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in ServiceNow development, automation, and identity management technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and enhance ServiceNow modules including ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, ITAM, Employee Center, and custom applications.
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, forms, and automation solutions.
- Create and manage Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and Flow Designer workflows.
- Design, develop, and support integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems such as Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, SCCM, Snowflake, and other business applications.
- Utilize REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, Integration Hub, and webhooks to integrate ServiceNow with internal and third-party platforms.
- Develop PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks, monitoring, and data synchronization.
- Design and implement identity lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and role changes.
- Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise IAM platforms such as Okta, Azure AD, Ping Identity, Saviynt, or similar identity governance solutions.
- Build and maintain access request workflows, access certification campaigns, and entitlement review processes.
- Support identity governance initiatives and ensure compliance with internal security and audit requirements.
- Partner with IT, Security, HR, and Compliance teams to improve identity management processes and access controls.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of ServiceNow administration experience in an enterprise environment.
- 3+ years of experience implementing or supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise applications using REST/SOAP APIs, LDAP, Active Directory, SAML/SSO, and cloud identity providers.
- Strong experience with JavaScript, REST APIs, and ServiceNow scripting.
- Hands-on experience developing PowerShell automation scripts.
- Solid understanding of IAM concepts including:
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC)
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- User provisioning and deprovisioning
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of ITIL principles and IT Service Management best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) or HRSD certification
- Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and ServiceNow Virtual Agent/AI capabilities
- Experience with JavaScript, PowerShell, SQL, and automation scripting
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOX
