Job Summary:
The AutoCAD Drafter will provide 2D drafting support as a backfill for an existing team member. This is a full-time, six-month contract position working fully onsite.
The work will primarily involve completing templates and line work in AutoCAD. It is not complex 3D drafting, but the individual must be comfortable navigating AutoCAD and using its core features independently.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Create, edit, and modify 2D drawings in AutoCAD
• Complete template-based drafting and line work
• Follow the company's established CAD standards
• Use AutoCAD features including layering and dynamic blocks
• Navigate efficiently within AutoCAD and update existing templates
• Use Excel information and tie-ins as part of the AutoCAD drafting process
• Support plotting from AutoCAD through Bluebeam
• Collaborate with engineers to complete drafting requirements

 
Required Qualifications:

• At least two years of AutoCAD 2D drafting experience
• Strong familiarity with AutoCAD navigation and native features
• Experience with layering, dynamic blocks, templates, and line work
• Ability to follow established CAD standards
• Working knowledge of Excel
• Ability to work fully onsite
• Degree not required; relevant experience is preferred

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• General civil or structural engineering drafting experience
• Understanding of concrete and rebar
• Exposure to Bluebeam
