Senior Software Engineer – Liquid Platform (Python, AWS, Agentic Workflows, Javascript a plus – I will confirm with the team if they are seeing more JS or Python leaning services in the future)
Trade needs a Senior Software Engineer to develop and enhance the Liquid Platform, a foundational component of the future Trade Hub architecture. The role will deliver services connecting LAM, LPM, and Atlas, and support critical platform capabilities needed to support future growth.

Overview:

• The team supports critical internal web applications used for supplier and collaborative planning.
• The user base is small but business-critical.
• The team is currently staffed by an SOW vendor. SGWS wants to reduce its dependency on that vendor, specifically for Rust and Python skills.

Tech Stack

• Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, and React
• AWS, including Lambda and S3, with containerized applications
• Parquet, DuckDB, and SQL-based databases
• Experience with an analytical database is required. Parquet and DuckDB specifically are not required.
• Observability: SGWS uses Dynatrace, but any observability tool (e.g., New Relic) is acceptable.
• CI/CD: SGWS uses Harness, but any pipeline tool (e.g., Jenkins) is acceptable.
• No single candidate needs the full stack. The three hires together should cover it: one Rust-focused senior, one Python-focused senior, and a staff engineer who leans one way or the other.
