Technical Consultant – Finance Transformation & ASC 606

Position Summary
We are seeking a senior Technical Consultant to support a focused NetSuite and finance transformation assessment. This individual will lead business and finance discovery, assess current processes and connected applications, evaluate ASC 606 revenue recognition practices, and translate findings into a prioritized executive roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder discovery across finance, operations, reporting, sales, and technology.
• Assess finance and accounting processes, reporting requirements, controls, manual workarounds, and system handoffs.
• Evaluate ASC 606 revenue recognition across contracts, performance obligations, transaction price, standalone selling price allocation, recognition methodology, revenue schedules, GL posting, and reconciliations.
• Identify process, documentation, data, control, and system gaps.
• Assess connected applications and integrations, including opportunities to retain, replace, or re-integrate existing tools.
• Develop recommendations, priorities, dependencies, and implementation roadmap activities.
• Present findings and recommendations to executive stakeholders.

Ideal Background

• Strong finance/accounting transformation experience.
• Deep working knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition.
• Experience with ERP-enabled finance transformation; NetSuite exposure strongly preferred.
• Strong process assessment, controls, reporting, and integration experience.
• Senior-level consulting presence with excellent discovery, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
