Duration: 3 months
Compensation: W2 – $52/hr. C2C – $57/hr.

Title: Engineer- Cloud Security
We are looking for an Engineer – Cloud Security to help design, implement, and enhance cloud security solutions while supporting security operations, incident response, governance, and cybersecurity initiatives across the organization. This role will partner with technical teams, project managers, stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure security initiatives align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Design and implement cloud security solutions and architectures to protect enterprise systems, applications, and sensitive data.

Develop and maintain secure communication protocols and cybersecurity controls across cloud environments.

Support and enhance Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities, including security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.

Design and execute advanced threat detection and incident response processes to rapidly identify, contain, and remediate security incidents.

Develop security operations strategies, governance frameworks, policies, and processes aligned with organizational objectives.

Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Communicate cybersecurity risks, incident status, mitigation strategies, and security performance to technical and executive stakeholders.

Prepare security reports and KPIs covering compliance, operational effectiveness, risks, and security performance.

Coordinate cybersecurity projects and initiatives, managing resources, progress, risks, and technical dependencies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity requirements into broader infrastructure and security initiatives.

Mentor cybersecurity professionals and contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and technical development.

Use scripting and automation to improve security operations, monitoring, response, and cloud security processes.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience/training.

Minimum 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering or a closely related security engineering role.

Hands-on experience working with cloud environments.

Strong experience with Cloud Security principles, technologies, and controls.

Hands-on scripting experience for security automation, operations, or engineering activities.

Experience implementing and supporting cybersecurity solutions and security controls.

Knowledge of threat detection, incident response, security monitoring, and cybersecurity best practices.

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain security risks and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience in Cloud Security Engineering or related cybersecurity roles.

Experience designing and implementing cloud security solutions and architectures.

Experience securing environments within AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.

Experience supporting or operating within a Security Operations Center (SOC).

Experience with security monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and remediation.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry security standards such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.

Experience developing security governance frameworks, policies, and operational processes.

Experience leading cybersecurity projects or coordinating security initiatives across multiple teams.

Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to cybersecurity professionals.

Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
