Title:  NetSuite Implementation Manager
Location: Baton Rouge, LA / Natchez, MS
Duration: 6 Month Contract

Important: Candidates must have direct NetSuite implementation leadership experience. Experience implementing other ERP platforms without NetSuite experience will not meet the requirements for this engagement.
 
Work Environment & Travel
This position will require regular travel to company operations in Baton Rouge, LA and Natchez, MS, with travel potentially reaching 100% based on project needs. The selected candidate must be comfortable working onsite with business stakeholders, implementation partners, and leadership throughout the implementation and go-live process.
 
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on NetSuite Implementation Manager to lead and oversee the successful implementation, migration, and go-live of Oracle NetSuite across the organization.
 
This is a 6-month contract engagement focused specifically on driving the NetSuite implementation through a successful production go-live. The ideal candidate has successfully led multiple end-to-end NetSuite implementations and understands the complexities of ERP migrations, business process transformation, data conversion, system integrations, testing, and deployment.
 
This individual will serve as the primary point of accountability for the implementation, working closely with executive leadership, Finance, Operations, internal stakeholders, and third-party implementation partners to ensure the project remains on schedule, meets business requirements, and is ready for a successful launch.
 
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of an active implementation, identify risks, drive decisions, and successfully lead the organization through go-live. This is a hands-on implementation leadership role rather than a long-term IT strategy or operational management position.
 
Key Responsibilities
NetSuite Implementation Leadership

• Lead and manage the end-to-end NetSuite implementation, from the current project phase through production go-live.
• Take ownership of the implementation roadmap, project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and overall execution.
• Coordinate internal business teams, technical resources, and external NetSuite implementation partners.
• Ensure NetSuite configurations, workflows, and integrations align with business and operational requirements.
• Identify implementation gaps, project risks, and potential delays while developing and executing mitigation plans.
• Drive project accountability and ensure all teams meet established deadlines.

Business Process & Stakeholder Management

• Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and executive leadership to understand business requirements and ensure successful system adoption.
• Facilitate workshops, requirements discussions, process mapping, and design decisions.
• Ensure NetSuite supports key business processes, including financial management, procurement, inventory, order management, and operational reporting, as applicable.
• Identify opportunities to standardize and improve business processes during implementation.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the NetSuite implementation partner.

Data Migration, Integrations & Testing

• Oversee data migration activities, including data cleansing, mapping, validation, reconciliation, and conversion.
• Coordinate integrations between NetSuite and existing enterprise applications or third-party systems.
• Lead testing strategies, including system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and end-to-end business process validation.
• Ensure critical defects and system issues are identified, prioritized, and resolved before go-live.
• Validate system readiness, data accuracy, and operational functionality.

Go-Live Planning & Execution

• Develop and manage a comprehensive NetSuite cutover and go-live plan.
• Coordinate final data migration, system validation, user readiness, and production deployment activities.
• Establish go-live readiness criteria and facilitate go/no-go decisions with leadership.
• Lead go-live activities, troubleshooting, issue escalation, and resolution.
• Coordinate post-go-live stabilization and hypercare support to ensure business continuity.
• Ensure documentation, knowledge transfer, and transition plans are completed before the engagement concludes.

Project Management & Reporting

• Maintain project schedules, status reports, risk registers, issue logs, and decision trackers.
• Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding implementation progress, risks, and key milestones.
• Manage implementation partner performance, deliverables, and project dependencies.
• Escalate critical issues and proactively drive resolution to protect the go-live timeline.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed within the established six-month engagement.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of ERP implementation or enterprise systems project management experience.
• Direct experience leading multiple Oracle NetSuite implementations through successful production go-live.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end NetSuite implementations, migrations, or enterprise rollouts.
• Strong understanding of NetSuite functionality, business processes, configuration, integrations, and implementation methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience managing ERP cutover planning, go-live execution, and post-production stabilization.
• Experience overseeing data migration, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment readiness.
• Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting processes within NetSuite, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and financial reporting.
• Experience managing third-party NetSuite implementation partners and coordinating cross-functional project teams.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex implementation challenges while maintaining aggressive project timelines.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive results with minimal oversight.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to Baton Rouge, LA and Natchez, MS.

 
Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading NetSuite implementations within energy, fuel distribution, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, or industrial services environments.
• Experience with NetSuite OneWorld, SuiteSuccess, SuiteAnalytics, SuiteFlow, or related NetSuite capabilities.
• Experience implementing NetSuite across multiple locations or business entities.
• Strong background in financial systems implementations and accounting process transformation.
• Experience taking over an in-progress or at-risk ERP implementation and successfully driving it through go-live.
• NetSuite certifications or PMP certification preferred.
• Experience supporting complex integrations between NetSuite and third-party operational systems.
