Azure/ZScaler Remeditation Consultant

Our client is a major enterprise based in Miami, FL, with a rapidly expanding business through acquisitions. They operate a dynamic cloud environment primarily leveraging Azure (80%) with some AWS (20%) and GCP exposure. Utilizing Zscaler as their cloud security platform. Will be conducting vulnerability assessments and automation, integrating with APIs to streamline cloud security management.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in cloud architecture (primarily Azure) and strong project management skills to join our client's digital transformation journey. This role will involve overseeing the implementation and management of cloud security tools and configurations, primarily within Azure environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding cross-functional teams, evaluating risks, developing project timelines, and ensuring the successful delivery of cloud security initiatives.
 
This consultant will use Zscaler Cloud Security Posture Management (ZCSPM) to identify and fix misconfigurations and vulnerabilities within the Azure environment. ZCSPM offers both automated and guided remediation options to ensure your Azure resources align with security best practices. 
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Architecture Understanding: Apply knowledge of Azure (and some AWS/GCP) to assess, configure, and optimize cloud security systems, ensuring they meet the organization's evolving needs.
• Risk Assessment & Configuration Management: Evaluate risks and make recommendations for cloud security configurations to ensure compliance and minimize vulnerabilities.
• Vulnerability Tool Management: Work with the client's CSPM security tool to ensure effective vulnerability management and automation of assessments, tracking and addressing any issues identified.
• Documentation & Reporting: Develop detailed project documentation, including project scopes, risk assessments, timelines, and status reports. Ensure transparency and alignment with stakeholders.
• Client Interaction: Collaborate closely with the client in Miami, validating requirements, scope, and deliverables, while keeping them informed of progress and challenges.

Key Qualifications:

• Cloud Architecture Expertise: Strong understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Azure. Exposure to AWS and GCP is a plus.
• Security and Vulnerability Management: Familiarity with cloud security tools and methodologies (e.g., CSPM, WIZ).
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to work with various teams and stakeholders, understand their needs, and translate those needs into actionable project plans.
• Risk Assessment: Experience evaluating risks and implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

This candidate should have a strong understanding and experiences with:

• Remediation Actions:
  • Enabling Azure Resource Locks: Preventing accidental deletion or modification of critical resources. 
  • Configuring Network Security Groups: Restricting network access to Azure resources. 
  • Implementing Azure Storage Account Policies: Enforcing security settings for storage accounts. 
• Zscaler Tools for Azure Remediation:
  • ZCSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management): The main platform for managing security posture and performing remediation. 
  • Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA): Provides secure internet access for Azure users and workloads. 
  • Zscaler Private Access (ZPA): Enables secure private application access for Azure resources. 
  • Zscaler Cloud Connector: A virtual appliance that can be deployed in Azure to connect to Zscaler services.
