Title: Business Systems Analyst/Project Manager(Public Sector)
Location: Sacramento, CA (3 days on-site per week, 2 days a wk remote work)
Duration: 6+ month contract (with very possible extensions)
Compensation: $60-68/hr.
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders, or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Our Goverment client is seeking a journey level Business Analyst to work closely with the Community Development Agency to re-engineer their process workflows to create efficiencies and better serve the public. This position will work with various subject matter experts to create requirements and project documentation to support developing these features in the County permitting application, Accela.

Job Duties:

  • Project Management / Business Analysis
    • Elicit, develop, and document project requirements; analyze and organize them for clarity and action.
    • Create detailed technical specifications, software test plans, and user guides.
    • Conduct thorough quality assurance testing to ensure software system reliability and adherence to requirements.
    • Maintain and update all documentation related to application processes and workflows.
    • Train users on new and existing software systems to ensure optimal use and adoption.
    • Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including proposals, schedules, change requests, and closure reports.
  • Vendor Collaboration and Software Configuration
    • Collaborate with vendors on project deliverables and manage issue resolution to ensure project success.

  • Able to interpret complex data and present it clearly to stakeholders
  • Experience using Accela, or collaborating with an Accela development team or vendor is a plus
  • Experience working in or with a Community Development organization that deals with permits, inspections, planning, etc is a plus.
