Location : Montgomery, Alabama.
Rate: $70,000-$100,000
Duration: Direct hire

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

 

Applicants must be licensed and in good standing with the State of Alabama. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and approve new claims within your jurisdiction

  • Meet state-level case movement goals

  • Assist with managing and supervising jurisdictional inventory

  • Conduct document review and discovery

  • Execute documents requiring attorney signature

  • Communicate case updates with leadership and clients

  • Assist with client audits, specifically litigation-related components

  • Stay current on legal rules, regulations, statutes, and case law

  • Conduct legal research and case analysis

  • Prepare and file legal documents

  • Manage and resolve litigation related to debt collection

  • Engage with Pro Se litigants, opposing counsel, and other parties to settle cases

  • Work with outside collections and defense counsel

  • Ensure compliance with applicable debt collection laws and regulations

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

  • Licensed to practice law in Alabama

  • Strong analytical and settlement negotiation skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Skilled in online and legal research

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality

  • Professionalism in interactions across diverse backgrounds

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a legal team
