Job Title:  Automation Engineer
 
Job Duties:  
INSPYR Solutions, LLC in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an Automation Engineer to research, design, develop, or test automation, intelligent systems, smart devices, or industrial systems control. Job responsibilities and duties include:
 
•  Designing and developing automation test scripts using internal frameworks.
•  Determining, recommending, and planning specifications in collaboration with team members to ensure appropriate testing of scalability of Point-of-Sale applications.
•  Analyzing business needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design and thoroughly test iOS applications.
•  Utilizing information gathered from the end-client and industry leaders to develop cutting edge practices.
•  Designing test that allocates 70% of efforts to unhappy flows, attempting to trigger failures, testing unexpected scenarios, and 30% to happy flows, focusing on basic test scenarios.
•  Testing and troubleshooting existing systems, analyzing collected data, and resolving bug issues within existing systems and modules.
•  Managing test scripts, including scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.
•  Optimizing system performance by updating, retraining, and automating models.
•  Analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time and providing problem resolution end-to-end.
•  Recommending modifications to existing software to correct errors and adapting to new hardware.
•  Reviewing, modifying, and updating existing software, providing technical support and maintenance to systems.
•  Establishing and evaluating application health metrics, proposing solutions for stability.
•  Documenting technical requirements and identifying areas needing improvement.
•  Rapidly rolling out needed changes to ensure optimal performance without disrupting continuous services.
•  Researching new technologies and methodologies, as well as researching database and platform inquiries, problem solving and planning.
•  Identifying, evaluating, and recommending hardware or software technologies.
•  Collaborating with cross functional teams and engineers to ensure optimum performance and scalability.
 
This position has no direct reports and does not supervise any other personnel.

 
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer and Information Technology, Computer Science, any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained. Employer will accept a foreign degree.
 
Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:
 
1. Test requirements and writing test cases
2. Demonstrate experience leading various phases of the testing lifecycle, including requirements gathering, test case creation, manual and automated testing, and UAT
3. Software applications written in Java and automation code in Python
4. Demonstrate experience running automated test scripts and reviewing application logs for errors and bugs
5. Demonstrate experience with SQL- for writing Select queries to look things up
6. Linux commands Server side and IT testing
7. Java/Python
 
No Travel. Work from home (WFH) benefit available; must be within commuting distance of the project site. Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the U.S. which may require relocation at the end of each project.
