Title: HR People Operations Consultant (Enterprise HR)
Location: Newport Beach, CA (on-site)
Duration: 6+ month contract

Compensation: $45-75/hr.
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders, or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Human Resources is seeking an experienced People Operations Consultant with a strong background in optimizing HR processes, managing content documentation, and ensuring the effective use of HR systems, particularly Workday and ServiceNow. This role will strive for operational excellence within the HR function, ensuring that processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with the overall goals of the organization. The People Operations Consultant will collaborate closely with the People Operations Global Head, HR subject matter experts, technology teams, and key stakeholders to deliver transformative outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Optimization and Harmonization

  • Document End-to-End Workflows: Formally document comprehensive current state end-to-end workflows (including HRIS systems workflows) and process requirements, including necessary audit and control mechanisms to ensure compliance and accountability, ensuring all HR team members have access to up-to-date and relevant information.
  • Analyze and Enhance HR Processes: Conduct thorough analyses of existing HR processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and areas for improvement, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational objectives.

Content/Knowledge Management

  • Content Taxonomy Development: Define and implement HR's content taxonomy to ensure that all key HR process documentation is systematically organized and easily accessible.
  • Governance Structure: Develop a robust governance framework for managing content and knowledge, ensuring that all documentation adheres to established standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge Management Strategies: Evaluate, design, and implement strategies to capture, organize, and disseminate HR-related knowledge and information from various sources, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Centralized Documentation Repository: Establish and manage a centralized documentation tool that organizes and maintains an inventory of all key HR processes and procedure documentation. This includes a global process catalog, design workbooks, instructions, FAQs, and other relevant materials.
  • Collaborative Content Creation: Work closely with process owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to create, review, and refine HR business process documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Partnership with HR Communications: Collaborate with the HR Communications team to manage and review content on the intranet and other platforms, ensuring that all information and processes remain relevant and up to date.

Continuous Improvement & Metrics Management

  • Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Implement smart workflows that enhance HR processes, leveraging both technology (e.g., automation) and non-technology solutions (e.g., training). Proactively identify capability gaps and opportunities for standardization, efficiency, and simplification, iterating on newly implemented processes for ongoing enhancement.
  • Implement Strategic Process Improvements: Develop and execute targeted process improvement initiatives for key HR processes (e.g., onboarding, transfer, leave of absence, termination) that enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and elevate the overall employee experience.
  • Data Analysis for Process Improvement: Analyze data from multiple sources, including internal systems, stakeholder feedback, and employee insights, to propose process enhancements.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Define and track KPIs for all processes, identify trends, analyze root causes, and forecast outcomes to ensure operational goals are met. Collaborate with People Operations Core Team to establish a standardized Global People Operations metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), etc., to ensure HR meets goals and delivery timelines, providing actionable recommendations to improve aging and overdue service delivery across all HR functions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, information technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR operations, HRIS management, organizational transformation process improvement, project management, supporting implementation, enhancements, data analytics, or related roles, with a focus on Workday and ServiceNow.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop data-driven solutions effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in leading HR process improvement projects from conception through implementation, with experience in content management.
  • Technical proficiency in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), HR technology, and workflow automation tools.
  • Maintains a high degree of professionalism with strong communication skills to be able to interface with all levels of the firm and preserves confidentiality in sensitive matters.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, energetic, and ever-evolving environment.
  • Preferred Project Management Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or comparable project management certifications are preferred.
  • Preferred experience in process improvement, harmonization, and optimization, leading or working knowledge of Kaizen sessions.
