Title: Event Setup Assistant
Location: Hybrid (Pittsburgh, PA 15222)
Duration: Long Term Contract 
Compensation: $25hr 
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US

Schedule: Flexible, part-time, and coordinated week by week
Availability can be up to 20 hours per week. Monday- Friday
 
Job Summary:

  • An Event Setup Assistant is self-motivated and able to work independently, effectively managing time and priorities to meet event schedules.
  • As Event Setup Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of sales events by setting up kiosks and tents, creating an inviting sales space, and ensuring sales agents have everything they need to engage with customers effectively.
  • You will also manage customer engagement activities during the sales opportunities, to create customer enthusiasm and drive potential customers to our sales location.
  • This position requires an independent worker who can take event requirements and transform open spaces into attractive sales areas.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Independently plan and execute the setup of kiosks and tents for sales events, adhering to event requirements and guidelines provided by the company.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand the specific needs of each event and create a layout that maximizes customer engagement and product visibility.
  • Transport event setup materials, including kiosks, tents, promotional materials, and product displays, to event locations.
  • Physically set up and tear down kiosks, tents, and displays at various locations, ensuring they are secure, aesthetically pleasing, and comply with safety regulations
  •  Arrange product displays and promotional materials strategically to attract customers and drive sales.
  • Work closely with the sales team and event staff to address any setup-related issues during events and make necessary adjustments to enhance the customer experience.
  • Maintain event setup equipment and materials in good condition, reporting any damage or shortages promptly to the appropriate parties.
  • Ensure all event spaces are left cleaned and tidy after teardown, and that all company materials are appropriately storedstored appropriately for future use.
  • Provide periodic reports and feedback on event setups, including suggestions for improvement and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the sales team, event staff, and customers effectively.
  • Willingness to learn about our company's energy products to support sales agents during events.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics to create visually appealing sales spaces
  •  Inventory Management – compile and update records of current company inventory
  • Storage Maintenance – ensure storage units are neat, orderly, and secure.
  • Drive for extended periods of time to multiple sales opportunities throughout the sales territory.
  • Be the Face of the company – you will be the first person our partners meet, and will need to show professionalism and courtesy.
  • Drive customer engagement – utilize interactive displays to generate interest in our products and our sales footprint
  • Create customer enthusiasm – bring high energy, infectious enthusiasm to customer engagement.
  • Manage Customer Interactives – this includes maintaining and operating the physical interactive, as well as organizing customers in a way that is beneficial to the sales team to create conversations.
  • May include dressing up as the company mascot at sales events to draw customer attention and bring customers to our sales footprint.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a contractor position that involves working at various event locations, both indoors and outdoors, depending on the nature of the event.
  • The role may require exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • The Event Setup Assistant must be comfortable with physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods during event setup and teardown.
  • The role requires to lifting up to 50 pounds to handle event setup materials and equipment
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to event locations.
  • Availability to work flexible hours predominantly nights and weekends, to accommodate event schedules.
  • Available at least five days per week
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to take phone calls/text messages to provide information to sales team in regards to event locations and specifics
