Title: Shipping Coordinator
Location: Austin, TX 
Duration: Contract to hire
Hourly: $24 – $26
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
 

Position Summary

Responsible for creating shipping labels, processing shipments, and maintaining detailed records of outgoing shipments to support the efficient operation of the laboratory. This role involves coordinating shipment requirements, maintaining record accuracy, handling packages, and assisting with pick-up and delivery tasks as needed. Strong Excel skills are required in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare documents and process shipping for outgoing packages.
  • Sort and label packages based on destination or project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and deliveries.
  • Accurately inputting and updating information in databases or computer systems.
  • Ensuring all records are accurate and free from errors.
  • Using Excel for data organization, analysis, and reporting
  • Adhering to regulations and organizational policies regarding record-keeping
  • Prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Address shipping delays and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with  teams to ensure correct deliveries. (e.g overseas  factory and any supplier in US).
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery as required.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.
  • Communicate status by providing regular updates and reports
  • Organize and maintain storage areas for optimal efficiency.
  • Work closely with staff to understand requirements and ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Safely load, unload, and transport packages within the facility.
  • Follow safety guidelines and company policies during all tasks.
Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional certifications are a plus).
  • Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems. (e.g. FedEx, Microsoft Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented.
  • Accountable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy packages (e.g., up to 40 lbs).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
