Job Title: Software Developer – Python

Location: 100% Remote (Working CST or EST Hours)

We are seeking a talented and driven Software Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll design, enhance, and maintain internal tools, applications, and reporting systems that support our mission-critical infrastructure and operations. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our systems can scale effectively and support the evolving needs of our department. Your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on operational excellence across our organization.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop back-end and front-end components of web-based solutions.
• Deploy software applications and tools on cloud platforms like AWS.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software solutions.
• Partner with DevOps and infrastructure teams to implement Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high standards in software quality and engineering best practices.
• Develop with a strong focus on security, maintainability, and performance.
• Write clear and thorough documentation for code, systems, and processes.

Key Success Factors

1. 2+ years full-stack experience with Python backend and Plotly Dash frontend to create web applications and perform data analytics and data transformation

2. 2+ years with Database interfacing ( Snowflake/SQL), data analytics and transformation experience required

3. Core understanding of server-client network foundations, competency in using third-party authentication ( IDMS), and REST API usage.

Nice to Haves

• Monitoring & Alerting: Experience using tools like Splunk or Grafana to build monitoring, alerting, and automation solutions that drive reliability and reduce manual work.
• Experience navigating AWS and Linux environments, including file system exploration and troubleshooting.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn new technologies, perform independent research, and make informed suggestions to improve systems and processes.
