In this role, you'll be part of the Avionics team focused on the design verification of the various electrical functions of high-performance communication systems. This role offers the chance to strengthen your verification skills while supporting engineering projects with global impact.
ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY
As a Design Verification Engineer, you'll focus on PCB Assembly design verification and take designs from subsystem testing and initial build through functional testing and system performance validation. In this role, you'll lead a variety of tasks such as board-level bring-up and test for newly designed PCBA, as well as write and execute design verification plans for power and signal integrity verification for standard and custom communication interfaces between integrated circuits and circuit boards. You'll also ensure proper data collection, reviews, and demonstration of system requirement verification. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary avionics design team and work closely with PCBA design engineers, harness engineers, FPGA and embedded SW developers, as well as system and integration engineers.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in board level design verification for aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics products
• 5+ years' experience developing requirements, plans, and procedures for product design verification
• 5+ years' Experience testing power regulators (switching, LDOs)
• 5+ years' experience in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment (i.e., oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
• 5+ years' Experience in design verification of high-speed interfaces, signal integrity and protocol compliance
• Solid understanding of electrical engineering and test fundamentals
• Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills
NICE TO HAVES
• Experience in test plans and protocols related to established Space Hardware test processes (GEVS / SMC-S-016)
• Knowledge of hardware and software tools for test automation (e.g. NI, dSPACE, Python, C/C++, Labview, etc.)
