Meta is looking for a Research Analyst to work on our industry intelligence program, which sits within our Global Industry Marketing team. This person will help identify, interpret, and report on the most important trends at the intersection of advertising, technology and AI, business, and policy. They will work with two lead analysts to produce prescient and competitive analysis that allows Meta’s senior leadership to act early on emerging opportunities and risks. The ideal candidate should be naturally curious, a quick learner, and a critical, cross-disciplinary thinker. While simultaneous expertise in advertising and business, tech, and policy is not required, the candidate should have a strong background in at least one of these fields and readiness to learn the others.

Track competitors’ activity, news, and industry trends in the advertising, business, and tech industries, as well as the global policy space, by attending events regularly, speaking with industry leaders, reading the news every day, etc.
Help shape Meta industry engagement and marketing strategy; contribute to events programming and recap reports
Deeply research specific emerging industry issues based on team priorities and autonomously execute research agendas; brief team leaders on research in occasional presentations
Contribute to and assist with proofreading and editing of industry intelligence content, including memos, reports, and briefings on a regular cadence. Coordinate the distribution and publication of reports and videos
Build out and manage internal team processes and databases, e.g. of internal audiences and external events

Years of experience needed:

At least 6, plus BA (required) and/or master’s (much preferred because of the research experience) masters degree strongly preferred

Reports are published weekly.

Remote or Onsite?

In NYC area, ability to come into the office sometimes (come in like 2-3 times a week)

Interview Process/Format:

– 30 minute Initial screening

– Writing test

Likely three interviews (val – first interview, me – second interview, syl vibe check)
