Location: Manassas, VA

Overview

Seeking a Network Architect to design, optimize, and support advanced, mission-critical network environments. This role focuses on modern architectures, Kubernetes-based networking, system performance, and resilient communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and enhance network architectures across environments
• Evaluate Kubernetes networking and CNI solutions (e.g., Calico, Cilium, Flannel)
• Support migrations, segmentation, and traffic optimization
• Manage and refine ACLs and network configurations
• Analyze application/network performance and troubleshoot issues
• Conduct capacity planning, resiliency testing, and failure analysis
• Produce technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Recommend network tools, hardware, and software

Required Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and container networking
• Knowledge of CNI tools (Calico, Cilium, Flannel, etc.)
• Strong networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, IP, subnetting)
• Experience with ACLs and packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and platforms (Cisco, Arista)
• Experience with high-speed networking, Linux, and scripting (Python/Bash)
• Knowledge of SDN, OVS, and VxLAN

Education & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3 years of relevant experience preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Eligible for DoD Secret Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required
