Senior Business Systems Analyst – at least 1 year long, (100% on-site work 1st 8 weeks, then hybrid may be allowed)

Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst
Location: Las Vegas, NV (on-site for 1st 8 weeks, then hybrid may be allowed)
Duration: 1+ years Long Term Project (possible extension)
Rate: $60-70/hr. 
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

SUMMARY:
The Senior Business Systems Analyst supports Information Technology initiatives through business analysis, data analysis, reporting, and project coordination. This role leads complex analytical efforts, develops executive-level dashboards and presentation materials, and supports Infrastructure and End User Compute (EUC) initiatives. The position also conducts workforce and operational research, supports capital and operational projects, and assists in aligning technology processes with organizational goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead business analysis activities for cross-functional IT projects and operational initiatives.
  • Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements for Infrastructure, EUC, and enterprise technology projects.
  • Support project coordination activities, including timeline tracking, deliverable management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Develop executive-level dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate project status, KPIs, and operational trends.
  • Create and maintain executive presentation materials, including briefing decks, visualizations, and summary reports.
  • Analyze operational and performance data to support decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assist Infrastructure and EUC teams with operational initiatives, service delivery improvements, and process documentation.
  • Support tracking and reporting of capital and operational projects, including milestone and deliverable monitoring.
  • Research and develop job classifications and position descriptions based on agency and industry benchmarking.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and project status updates.
  • Prepare written briefings and reports for leadership review and governance meetings.
  • Recommend and track process improvements to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation, workflows, and reporting artifacts supporting IT initiatives and operational activities.

  • Leadership-ready reports, briefing decks, and status summaries.
  • Operational Support
  • Updated process documentation and workflows for Infrastructure and EUC teams.
  • Process improvement recommendations with measurable outcomes.
  • Research & Governance
  • Workforce and job classification research reports.
  • Governance materials including decision papers and milestone updates. 

Daily/Weekly expectations:  

  • Daily
  • Review project updates and operational data.
  • Respond to stakeholder questions and clarify requirements.
  • Update trackers, documentation, and reporting artifacts.
  • Support Infrastructure/EUC teams with active tasks and process documentation.
  • Prepare materials for upcoming meetings or briefings.

  • Lead or participate in project status meetings and workshops.
  • Deliver weekly progress reports and updated dashboards.
  • Validate requirements with teams and refine documentation.
  • Monitor project milestones and update leadership reports.
  • Conduct ongoing research and identify improvement opportunities.

  Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in business systems analysis, IT project coordination, data analysis, or related work.
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT environments or operational technology initiatives preferred.
  • Experience developing executive-level reports, dashboards, or presentation materials preferred.
  • Experience with Infrastructure, EUC, or enterprise technology environments preferred.

  • Ability to create clear, professional executive-level reports and presentations.
  • Knowledge of business analysis practices and project coordination methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Skilled in data analysis, reporting tools, and performance measurement.
  • Ability to organize complex information and communicate findings effectively.
  • Strong written documentation and presentation development skills.

OTHER:

  • Estimated Duration of Job: 1 year with possible extension
  • Work hours 7 am – 5:30 pm , Monday – Thursday. 
  • On site work the 1st 8 weeks, and thereafter, hybrid of 1 day; in office and 3 days remote MAY be possible. 
  • 1st interview via Teams. 2nd interview in person
