Title: Scrum Master, ERP (Projects & Enhancements)
Location: Remote with some travel to client in NC (2-3 times/year)
Duration: 12 month contract
Compensation: $50/hr
Skillset / Experience:
Seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support the delivery of ERP projects and enhancements across assigned functional areas. This role is responsible for leading Agile delivery practices, enabling high-performing teams, and ensuring the successful execution of work from intake through go-live. The Scrum Master will focus on change work—including both enhancements (small-to-medium changes to existing capabilities) and projects (larger, structured efforts delivering new or materially changed capabilities). This role ensures teams operate efficiently, remove impediments, maintain delivery momentum, and align work to business priorities, operational processes, and enterprise standards. The Scrum Master partners closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, IT Managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across ERP delivery efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Agile delivery leadership & team enablement
- Serve as the Scrum Master for ERP delivery teams supporting enhancements and project work.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Guide teams in Agile best practices to ensure consistent, predictable delivery.
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Enhancement and project delivery execution
- Support delivery of enhancements and projects.
- Ensure backlog is well-defined and prioritized.
- Track sprint progress, velocity, and commitments.
- Ensure work is broken into actionable user stories.
Impediment removal & risk management
- Identify and remove impediments.
- Escalate risks and blockers as needed.
- Facilitate resolution of cross-functional dependencies.
- Support mitigation planning.
Stakeholder collaboration & communication
- Act as liaison between teams and stakeholders.
- Communicate sprint outcomes and delivery progress.
- Support transparency through reporting.
- Foster collaboration.
Agile metrics, reporting & continuous improvement
- Track Agile KPIs including velocity and backlog health.
- Use data to improve team performance.
- Facilitate retrospectives and implement improvements.
- Support Agile maturity.
Release planning & delivery coordination
- Support release planning and coordination.
- Align sprint delivery with project milestones.
- Ensure readiness for testing and deployment.
- Assist with hypercare support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years as Scrum Master or Agile Lead.
- Experience with ERP implementations or enhancements.
- Strong Agile knowledge.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, SAFe).
- Experience with ERP platforms (Infor, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Dynamics).
- Experience in ERP functional areas.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow.
- Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).
