Location: Rockwall, TX (On-site, 5 days/week)

Position Overview

Seeking a Buyer to support a fast-paced, growing manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for end-to-end procurement activities, including supplier management, inventory planning, and sourcing of raw materials such as metals, plastics, and hardware.

This opportunity is open to both high-performing individual contributors and candidates with leadership potential who are ready to take on broader ownership over time. The ideal candidate brings a balance of operational execution, analytical thinking, and curiosity to continuously improve processes and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned to production and business needs
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply risks to inform sourcing decisions
• Perform cost modeling, scenario analysis, and benchmarking to drive efficiencies
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and finance to ensure alignment on requirements and timelines
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to optimize stock and avoid disruptions
• Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improve overall effectiveness
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor's preferred
• 3–5+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience (manufacturing environment strongly preferred)
• Experience with sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
• Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of market dynamics

Nice-to-Have Experience & Traits

• Experience working with Oracle ERP or similar ERP systems
• Experience with private sourcing and identifying new supplier channels
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and modeling
• Technical aptitude and comfort working with product specifications, materials, and manufacturing processes
• A proactive mindset with a strong appetite to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility
• Interest in the manufacturing industry and how products are built and scaled
• Collaborative, team-first mentality with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
• Ability to operate both tactically and strategically depending on business needs
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and external partners

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• On-site in Rockwall, TX, 5 days per week
• Combination of office and manufacturing floor exposure
• Regular use of computer and phone; occasional lifting up to 30–50 lbs
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor conditions as needed
