About this Featured Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Program Manager to drive critical data privacy and compliance initiatives across diverse business lines. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring global data compliance commitments and adherence to evolving regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead large-scale compliance programs, including establishing and executing a multi-year roadmap, designing and implementing programs to support cross-functional teams, developing comprehensive monitoring and reporting mechanisms, driving process improvements, facilitating organization-wide communication, and supporting education initiatives in partnership with engineering teams.

The Opportunity for You:

  • Drive Program Roadmap and Strategy: Collaborate with legal and engineering partners to define and execute a roadmap for scalable compliance infrastructure and tools. Empower development teams to efficiently ingest, store, process, transform, and analyze data while staying compliant with international data laws. Lead cross-functional discussions with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and establish a strategic program roadmap aligned with the overall vision.
  • Program Ownership: Partner closely with internal engineers and organization-wide stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities for improving data privacy and compliance posture. Define, establish, and continuously improve program and organizational frameworks, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and robust reporting.
  • Champion Product Adoption: Serve as a key advocate for data privacy and compliance, leading efforts to promote platform and tool adoption across the organization. Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and align stakeholders on the value of the compliance framework.
  • Foster Cross-Functional Relationships: Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal team members across the organization. Facilitate seamless communication between divisions and foster a unified approach to achieving program goals.
  • Project Management: Execute deliverables with resilience, creativity, and a strong sense of ownership. Lead with compassion and strive to identify and remove obstacles to progress.

Key Success Factors:

  • 5+ years of experience in data compliance, continuous compliance, and/or data governance.
  • 5+ years of experience in the software development and/or big data industry.
  • Excellent understanding of data laws and concepts, including GDPR.
  • Experience with software development life cycle methodologies and strategically managing large-scale programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and build consensus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent presentation development and presentation skills.
