Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional projects that support distribution center startups, expansions, and operational improvements. This role ensures projects are executed on time and within scope by driving disciplined project management, strong stakeholder alignment, and clear communication. The Project Manager enables scalable, reliable operations by coordinating efforts across Operations, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, Finance, and external partners.
Core Areas of Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end project management initiatives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risk registers to ensure on-time execution.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to align scope, timelines, roles, and accountability across all phases of project delivery.
- Drive disciplined execution through regular project reviews, status reporting, and issue resolution.
- Identify risks, constraints, and dependencies early; develop mitigation plans and escalate as needed.
- Manage vendors, contractors, and service providers as required to support project scope and deliverables.
- Ensure clear documentation of project decisions, actions, and outcomes.
- Support post-implementation stabilization, lessons learned, and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
- 3+ years of project management experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong planning, organizational, and execution skills.
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Experience supporting distribution center or warehouse startups and expansions.
- Experience managing system-related projects (WMS, ERP, SAP EWM).
- HVAC or industrial distribution experience.
