Job Title: Billing Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our transportation team. The Billing Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing customer invoices, ensuring billing accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and supporting accounts receivable activities. This role works closely with operations, customer service, and accounting teams to maintain timely and accurate billing while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Generate and process customer invoices based on transportation services provided.

·         Review shipment documentation, rate confirmations, contracts, and billing data to ensure invoice accuracy.

·         Verify freight charges, fuel surcharges, accessorial fees, and other transportation-related costs.

·         Research and resolve billing discrepancies, invoice disputes, and customer inquiries.

·         Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation.

·         Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure all billable services are captured.

·         Monitor aging invoices and assist with collections efforts as needed.

·         Process invoice adjustments, credits, and rebills when required.

·         Ensure compliance with company policies, customer contracts, and transportation billing requirements.

·         Reconcile billing reports and assist with month-end closing activities.

·         Generate billing and revenue reports for management review.

·         Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and increase operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

·         3+ years of billing experience

·         Transportation industry experience preferred

·         Bachelor's degree preferred

·         Must be willing to work onsite in Nasua Bay area
