Accountant I

About the Opportunity
The Accountant I will support general accounting functions for assigned entities, with a focus on general ledger activity, month-end close, and collaboration with operations. This role offers strong exposure to plant accounting and project-based work with opportunity for growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting and support month-end close
• Prepare journal entries, including accruals and reclasses
• Complete bank and account reconciliations
• Track assets, including additions, transfers, and disposals
• Partner with operations to monitor project costs and cost centers
• Assist with project billings and financial tracking
• Support audits and respond to information requests
• Help improve accounting processes and workflows
• Assist with additional accounting tasks as needed

 
Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 1–2+ years of accounting experience (audit or industry)
• Experience with general ledger and month-end close (not just AP/AR)
• ERP experience required; SAP strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with operations
• Strong analytical and communication skills
