Title: IT Project Manager
Location: Vienna, Virginia- hybrid- 3 days a week onsite
Duration:
Initial 6 months contract with extensions
Compensation: $60.00-$69.00/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or or Authorized to work in US

  • Ensures effective management of projects from inception through implementation
  • Defines, develops, and executes project plans, including scope definition, expectations, activities, cost estimates, and schedules
  • Works with the business group to determine and understand business requirements
  • Manages projects from concept through the planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, and transition phases
  • Develops clear and concise “big picture” of projects within organizational goals
  • Directs and leads project teams by developing and coordinating work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and training
  • Manages project budgets including risk and impact of changes to project plans
  • Identifies and minimizes project risks or constraints that would impact project deliverables
  • Identifies, communicates, and resolves cross-organizational issues that may impede projects/initiatives
  • Maintains and archives project documentation
  • Ensures project deliverables are met in accordance with customer expectations
  • Sets, manages, and communicates client expectations for the project
  • Oversees project progress to ensure documentation and schedules align with agreed requirements and standards
  • Identifies, escalates, and/or resolves issues ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations
  • Monitors and controls risks ensuring timelines are met and goals are achieved
  • Facilitates project team and client meetings to resolve issues
  • Provides project status reports to management
  • Ensures project success by working closely with Procurement regarding vendor contracts
  • Works closely with Procurement to define and understand contracts (scope, legal aspects, risk, pre/post award, closure)
  • Manages contract quality assurance, administration, and execution
  • Manages contract budgets, cost controls, and change control processes
  • Serves as primary point of contact for project management issues
  • Secures resources and ensures optimal utilization within budget constraints
  • Allocates team assignments, ensures accountability, manages personnel changes, and executes training plans
  • Communicates project plans, changes, direction, and priorities based on evolving business needs
  • Establishes team objectives, reviews work, and provides feedback; may contribute to performance evaluations
  • Promotes team building and skill development
  • Manages multiple, large, complex projects simultaneously
  • Participates in developing and executing department policies, standards, and processes
  • Provides guidance on issues impacting the broader organization
  • Solves complex technical and organizational problems
  • Influences leadership to resolve project issues within timelines and budget
  • Manages vendor relationships and participates in contract negotiations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Extensive project management experience across multiple large, complex projects

  • Advanced knowledge of project lifecycles, methodologies, and business requirements analysis
  • Strong experience building relationships across business units
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor in dynamic environments
  • Strong understanding of contracts and their impact on projects
  • Proficiency in standard business and project management tools
  • PMP certification (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and drive results
  • Experience directing and controlling project activities across broad functional areas
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Desired

  • Agile methodology experience
  • PMI-ACP, ScrumMaster, or SAFe certifications
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Knowledge of real estate lending / mortgage systems and operations
