Title: Software Development Engineer
Location: Redmond, WA (onsite)
Duration: 6+ month contract
Compensation: $65.00 – 70.00/hr.

This role is centered around taking existing automation tools and transitioning them into production-ready solutions that support engineering and lab operations.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys software development, automation, cloud technologies, and troubleshooting across both software and lab environments.

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU

• Transition existing automation code into production-ready applications and services

• Create and maintain monitoring dashboards for automation systems and lab infrastructure

• Automate and debug lab test equipment using Python-based tools

• Support and improve AWS-based infrastructure and applications using CDK

• Configure and troubleshoot local network setups within lab environments

• Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to improve automation reliability and performance

• Troubleshoot software, database, and infrastructure-related issues as they arise

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

Must Haves

• Strong Python development and automation experience
• Experience with AWS development and CDK
• Familiarity with SQL/databases including creating monitoring dashboards or operational metrics

• Hands-on experience automating or debugging test equipment/lab systems
• Networking concepts, including configuring and troubleshooting local networks

NICE TO HAVES

• Familiarity with CI/CD or production deployment workflows

• Experience working in hardware, lab, or test environments
