Skillset / Experience:
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Hunter mentality with strong prospecting experience.
- Technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn company policy.
- Confident but humble. Avoid candidates who come across as arrogant or oversell themselves.
- Experience with Land Mobile Radio (LMR) is a plus, but not required.
- Day Wireless is an excellent target company.
Key Interview Question:
- "How do you stay organized while prospecting and managing your sales pipeline?"
Must-Have Knowledge:
Candidates should understand how to partner with:
- Technicians
- Utilities
- Distribution operations
- Field service teams
- Engineering teams
They should also be understand how these groups connect with a customer's IT infrastructure and technology environment.
Considerations:
- Tenure is important. Candidates who change roles every one to two years may raise concerns around consistency and long-term commitment.
- Prospecting approach is key. We are looking for true hunters, so we want to understand how they generate leads and secure appointments.
- Location matters. Candidates should be based within the metro area of the listed territories.
- Strong outside sales experience is required. We are not targeting candidates who have only recently transitioned into outside sales. They should have at least five years of experience in a new business development role.
- Ability to speak to performance. Candidates should be comfortable sharing metrics and working in a quota driven environment.
- We are flexible on base salary but looking for candidates who are interested in sharing OTE for their first year.
