Title: iOS Test Automation Engineer
Location: 100% Remote (CST Hours starting at 8:30am CST)

ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY
Apple's Retail organization is seeking an iOS Test Automation Engineer to support automation testing efforts. This role is focused on ensuring high-quality customer experiences through robust automated testing across iOS and mobile platforms.

In this role, approximately 75% of the time will be spent on developing automated test scripts via a combination of XCode simulator, Python, OCR and possibly Appium or Maestro. The other 25% will involve analyzing the test and scripting outcomes, fixing automation defects and maintaining test scripts.

This is a highly collaborative role where you will partner closely with engineering and quality teams to build scalable automation solutions and improve overall system reliability.

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU

• Expand and enhance iOS test automation coverage, working closely with the Retail Quality team
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test scripts and frameworks
• Troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and implement fixes for automation defects
• Partner with developers to ensure testability and quality throughout the development lifecycle
• Contribute to end-to-end automation, including scripting, code reviews, check-ins, packaging, and validation
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless automated testing and deployment
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to improve product quality and performance

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

1. Core iOS Automation Expertise: 8+ years of experience in iOS QA automation / SDET roles. Strong proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting across both UI and API layers. Hands-on experience with XCode and iOS Simulator to build, run, and debug automated test suites for native iOS applications. Proven ability to automate workflows, build end-to-end test coverage, and improve system reliability through automation.
2. Mobile Application Automation: Hands-on experience automating testing for mobile applications. Experience developing and maintaining automated test suites for native or hybrid iOS applications. Strong understanding of mobile testing strategies, debugging, and automation best practices. Familiarity with tools such as Appium or Maestro for iOS test automation.
3. CI/CD Integration: Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with iOS tooling. Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD environments (e.g., Xcode Cloud, Jenkins, or equivalent) to support continuous testing and delivery on iOS platforms.
4. API Integration and Automation: Experience developing automated API tests using RESTful APIs and/or SOAP services. Ability to validate backend integrations, service responses, and business workflows through automated testing. Experience testing complex system integrations and data validation.

• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Experience with AI/agentic-driven automation or intelligent testing solutions
• Experience with Appium or Maestro for iOS test automation
