Location: Remote (EST/CST preferred; 50% – 70% travel required)

Compensation: $63 – $72

Site Safety Manager
Description:
Summary
- Lead construction safety and loss control activities across large-scale data center construction projects.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses to ensure safe execution of construction work.
- Partner with project teams, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive zero-incident safety performance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, insurance requirements, and Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) standards.
- Travel extensively (50–70% across the U.S.) to support multiple active construction sites while working remotely from the Eastern or Central time zones.
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of construction safety experience in a dedicated safety role.
- Experience supporting large-scale construction projects, preferably mission-critical or data center environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction Standards (critical disqualifier).
- Experience conducting:
- Risk assessments
- Incident investigations
- Root cause analysis
- Corrective action planning
- Experience with ground-up construction and greenfield developments.
- Experience implementing Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs.
- Experience working with contractors and cross-functional construction teams.
- Ability to travel 50–70% domestically.
- OSHA 500 Certification.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHST certification (BCSP).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Data center construction experience.
- Experience in Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) environments.
- Experience with retrofit projects in live mission-critical facilities.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in construction.
- Design-build / fast-track construction experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
