Title: AP Vendor Data Validation Specialist
Location: Houston, Texas
Duration: 4 to 6 weeks
Compensation: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour

Skillset / Experience:
We are seeking a detail-oriented AP Vendor Data Validation Specialist to support a short-term vendor payment information validation project. This role will be responsible for contacting vendors, collecting and validating ACH payment details, updating vendor records, and maintaining accurate documentation to support payment processing and audit compliance.
This is a fast-paced, project-driven assignment requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience with Accounts Payable, vendor maintenance, or financial operations.
Responsibilities

• Contact vendors via phone and email to obtain updated ACH/EFT payment information.
• Collect and review vendor documentation, including banking forms, W-9s, and supporting records.
• Validate ACH payment details in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform vendor callbacks and other verification activities to mitigate fraud risk.
• Document all communications and validation activities.
• Update vendor records within the company's ERP or financial system.
• Maintain project tracking logs and status reports.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in vendor information.
• Identify duplicate or incomplete vendor records and escalate as needed.
• Partner with Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project objectives.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and data security standards.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, Vendor Maintenance, Finance Operations, or a related field.
• Experience working with vendor onboarding, vendor maintenance, or ACH payment processing.
• Strong data-entry and Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting vendor data cleanup or master data maintenance initiatives.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, Workday, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of ACH, EFT, and vendor banking validation processes.
• Familiarity with fraud prevention controls related to vendor payment information.
