Summary

• Lead the art direction and hands-on execution of illustrations and simple animations for  in-product experiences.
• Scale and maintain a consistent illustration system across multiple product teams while evolving the internal style guide.
• Partner closely with product designers, engineers, content designers, illustrators, and animators to create clear visual storytelling.
• Create creative briefs, provide feedback to illustrators, and ensure high-quality visual assets through iterative collaboration.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional craft, consistency, and attention to detail.

 
Must-Have Skills

• 4+ years of professional illustration experience.
• Strong Art Direction experience.
• Outstanding illustration portfolio demonstrating both creative direction and hands-on execution (composition, color, conceptual thinking).
• Expert proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and vector graphics.
• Experience creating or directing simple vector animations in Adobe After Effects.
• Experience adopting and working within established illustration/brand systems.
• Strong visual storytelling for digital product experiences.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Portfolio required with submission.

 
Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience designing illustrations for tech products or in-product user experiences.
• Familiarity with Figma.
• Experience improving creative workflows using internal AI tools.
• Experience working within product design systems.
• Experience evolving illustration guidelines and standards.
