Job Description
Our client is seeking a Division Order Supervisor to oversee daily division order operations and lead a small team supporting crude oil marketing activities. This position will be responsible for resolving ownership and title issues, maintaining division of interest records, supporting royalty owner relations, and ensuring accurate and timely payments.
The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory experience, a high level of attention to detail, and a background in division orders, title analysis, and crude oil operations.
Responsibilities
Division Order Administration
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Division Order department.
- Establish and maintain communication with royalty owners, operators, attorneys, landmen, purchasers, and other stakeholders.
- Resolve title issues to ensure accurate ownership records and timely payments.
- Establish, verify, and maintain Division of Interest records.
- Monitor royalty ownership changes and coordinate division order distribution.
Title & Ownership Analysis
- Analyze title opinions, trusts, wills, mineral deeds, royalty deeds, assignments, and mergers to determine ownership interests.
- Investigate ownership inquiries and resolve payment-related concerns.
- Support unclaimed property reporting and compliance requirements.
- Ensure ownership records remain accurate and current.
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise and provide direction to department personnel.
- Train and mentor team members.
- Review departmental processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support departmental goals and operational initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with accounting, marketing, and land departments regarding ownership and payment matters.
- Maintain a high level of customer service when responding to ownership inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant Division Order and/or crude oil experience.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of ownership analysis and division order processes.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to take ownership of work products and follow through on outstanding issues.
- Strong sense of accountability and urgency.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of crude oil industry experience.
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
- WolfePak experience or experience with similar systems.
