Title: Technical Program Manager
Location: Remote US
Duration: 11+ months
Compensation: $50 – 75/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
The Program Manager will join a critical retrofit engineering and program management team to own retrofit projects from ideation through execution and validation. You will work in close collaboration with Retrofit Engineers, Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance and Reliability and Maintenance (RME) partners and Deployment Engineering. Primary responsibilities include:
- Developing processes to implement product upgrades on products (field retrofits)
- Participate in retrofit sprints to ensure program is on track and on budget
- Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives
- Oversee multiple projects, and ensure program goals are met
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and driving change for the identified opportunities
- Applying Lean Manufacturing concepts to determine the best course of action for each product upgrade and field retrofit
- Manage budget and funding channels for the program
- Write execution white papers for large scale retrofit projects, that serves as communication to internal and customer stakeholders
- Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services
- Analyzing program risks
- Working with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders, to identify and resolve blockers and ensure smooth operation of the program
- Coordinating and tracking status of ongoing retrofit activities with keen eye for details and escalate to leadership any roadblocks or challenges
- Collect the Voice of the Customer (VOC) data and share success stories during the lessons learnt workshops and review with cross-functional partners in Hardware Engineering and Operations to demonstrate value and efficiency.
A successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 4+ years experience in related field as a Program Manager
- Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Experience using project management tools (eg: Asana)
- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability
- Master’s degree preferred
- Experience in the use of Lean Manufacturing concepts preferred
