Compensation: $49–$69/hour

Title: Project Manager IV
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager IV to support research and development initiatives focused on spatial audio capture and related technologies. This role will be responsible for planning, tracking, reporting, coordinating procurement activities, and helping technical teams successfully deliver complex research projects.
The ideal candidate has experience managing projects in fast-paced research or product development environments, working cross-functionally with researchers, engineers, technical stakeholders, and leadership. This is a hands-on role requiring strong organization, communication, documentation, and project execution skills.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Manage and drive research and development projects according to established delivery plans.
- Lead sprint planning, project tracking, and reporting on a regular cadence.
- Monitor project progress, identify blockers, dependencies, and risks, and facilitate resolution to keep projects on track.
- Maintain project documentation, task boards, progress updates, and completion records.
- Synthesize project information and communicate status, gaps, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with researchers, engineers, technical leads, and other internal stakeholders.
- Manage procurement activities related to equipment and vendor services.
- Support program meetings, coordination activities, and other operational needs.
- Handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced research and product development environment.
- Take ownership of operational tasks as needed to support broader team objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of project management experience.
- Experience managing research, technical, or product development projects with a demonstrated track record of successful project completion.
- Experience with sprint-based project management, including sprint planning, tracking, and regular reporting.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills, including maintaining task boards and communicating project progress, risks, gaps, and dependencies.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams, including researchers and engineers.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to proactively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Audio Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast-paced research and/or product development environment.
- Experience with spatial audio, binaural audio, audio signal processing, or related audio technologies.
- Familiarity with programming languages or technical tools such as MATLAB, Python, C++, or Max/MSP.
- Experience supporting user experience studies.
- Experience with audio production, mixing, performance, or audio technology.
- Experience with event coordination, visual design, or technical demonstration support.
- Strong multidisciplinary mindset and willingness to work across both technical and operational areas.
