A well-established company in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional with strong general ledger, month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting activities and prepare journal entries for multiple business locations.

• Support month-end and year-end close processes.

• Prepare and analyze account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

• Analyze financial information to identify trends, variances, and significant changes.

• Prepare and review balance sheet, income statement, and other financial reports.

• Research and resolve errors or inconsistencies in accounting records and financial reports.

• Ensure transactions are properly recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

• Review and approve financial transactions within established guidelines.

• Assist with accounting for areas such as fixed assets, inventory, leases, and cost accounting.

• Support ongoing improvements to accounting processes and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.

• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

• SAP experience strongly preferred.

• CPA is preferred but not required.

• Experience with leases, fixed assets, inventory, or cost accounting is a plus.

• Experience in distribution, building materials, manufacturing, consumer products, or a similar industry is a plus.

• Public accounting, Big 4, regional accounting firm, or public-company experience is a plus.

• Must be located in the Dallas/Irving area or willing to commute.

Compensation & Benefits

• $90,000–$105,000 annual salary
