We need a Solution Architect specializing in internal-facing web applications and shared, cross-application APIs to define the future-state architecture for Trade Hub and set technical direction across the applications and API layers that support it. The role will define architecture standards and guide technology decisions while enabling our client to independently modernize and evolve the portfolio.
 

Focus

• AWS cloud architecture for web applications
• Enterprise and reusable services

Required Skills

• Containerized and serverless architecture patterns, plus eventing
• AWS services: EKS, ECS, S3, SNS, SQS, and Lambda
• Front-end experience is a nice-to-have.

Experience

• At least 3 years focused specifically on web application architecture in AWS. Total years of experience are flexible.

Agentic Workflows

• Candidates should show how they use agentic tools in their architecture work, for example to auto-generate diagrams or check designs against standards.

Tech Stack

• Rust, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, and React
• AWS, including Lambda and S3, with containerized applications
• Parquet, DuckDB, and SQL-based databases
• Experience with an analytical database is required. Parquet and DuckDB specifically are not required.
• Observability: SGWS uses Dynatrace, but any observability tool (e.g., New Relic) is acceptable.
• CI/CD: SGWS uses Harness, but any pipeline tool (e.g., Jenkins) is acceptable.
• No single candidate needs the full stack. The three hires together should cover it: one Rust-focused senior, one Python-focused senior, and a staff engineer who leans one way or the other.
