Key Skills:
3–5 years of experience and a BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Strong Databricks and Python skills, plus advanced SQL
QA experience using Python/SQL to validate data, including nulls, duplicates, missing/incorrect values, and counts
REST API testing and experience building test suites
Experience automating testing through scripts and scheduled jobs
Strong database design/ERD knowledge
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team
Preferred: Financial services/lending experience and exposure to credit decisioning platforms, especially Provenir.

JOB SPECS:
The work will focus heavily on validating API inputs/outputs, decision logs, and scoring pipeline results, and building automated tests in Databricks. Please prioritize candidates who can ramp quickly and work Eastern/Central-friendly hours; Pacific Coast candidates are not preferred.

What You'll Do

• Creating scripts using SQL and/or Python to test data either on-premise or in the cloud to determine if data is accurate. This involves testing counts and looking for nulls, missing data, wrong values, and duplicates.
• Automating testing using Python to create jobs to monitor data.
• Testing SQL or Python scripts from different sources with the same conditions to ensure they return consistent results.
• Testing business requirements versus code output to ensure results match what is requested, including validation of scoring pipeline outputs and decision logs.
• Creating test suites with many test cases to make sure that expected output from an API matches actual output returned

 
What You'll Need

• 3 to 5 years work experience
• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related area
• Advanced SQL
• Intermediate Python
• Experience working with Databricks
• QA experience writing SQL and Python to test code manually
• Solid knowledge of database design and how entity relationship diagrams work
• Experience automating testing through creation of scripts and jobs
• Experience working with Rest API

 
Preferred
Experience with financial services and lending
Background working with credit decisioning platforms (especially Provenir)
