Description:
Paid Retention Experimentation Lead
Now is your chance to join our talented team that delivers unparalleled creative content to audiences around the world. The Growth Marketing team is tasked with driving global subscriber growth for streaming bundles. This role is part of a global special initiative focused on existing subscribers, using paid media to increase engagement and improve retention. The program is cross-functional, spans multiple
regions, and is still being built, so the ideal candidate is energized by creating structure where it doesn't yet exist. We are seeking a strategic, highly organized marketer to own the strategy, process, and experimentation agenda for this initiative. In this role, you will set the testing roadmap, design and run experiments across paid media channels, and translate results into financial and strategic recommendations for senior leadership. You will report to two senior leaders and will be expected to operate independently, make
sound judgment calls with incomplete information, and serve as the face of the program to regional and cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities:
- Program Strategy & Roadmap – Own the global testing roadmap for the initiative, prioritizing tests by expected business impact and connecting every test back to program goals for engagement and retention.
- Experiment Design & Methodology – Develop rigorous test plans (A/B, holdout, geo-tests, incrementality and lift studies) across paid media partners. Define primary metrics and guardrails, size audiences, and account for overlap and contamination risks before launch.
- Process & Operations – Oversee standardized processes for test intake, briefing, specs, tracking, and wrap-up. Create systems that regional and partner teams can follow with minimal support, and enforce compliance.
- Risk Management & Planning – Anticipate blockers early in the planning cycle (late briefs, data availability, partner reporting limitations) and put check-ins and triggers in place that keep global launches on schedule.
- Financial Analysis & Business Cases – Translate test results into financial impact (retention, LTV, incremental revenue, ROI) and build business cases that inform budget allocation and scaling decisions.
- Executive Reporting & Storytelling – Build executive-ready reporting that accurately represents results, including statistical confidence, and lands a clear recommendation. Calibrate quickly to leadership expectations and established visualization standards.
- Stakeholder Leadership – Lead global and regional working sessions, present results to senior leadership, and field methodology and strategy questions from partner teams. Partner closely with paid media, analytics, lifecycle/CRM, finance, and external media vendors.
- Knowledge Sharing – Maintain a growing library of test specs, results, and best practices, and use it to raise the quality and speed of testing across regions.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in growth or lifecycle marketing, marketing strategy, marketing science, or management consulting. Multichannel experience strongly preferred.
- Marketing Expertise: Strong working knowledge of paid media (including CTV, programmatic, and social), lifecycle/CRM marketing, and subscription business models and retention metrics.
- Experimentation & Analytics: Hands-on experience designing and reading experiments; comfortable with statistical significance, confidence intervals, incrementality, and causal inference. Proficient in Excel/Sheets and dashboarding tools; SQL a plus.
- Financial Acumen: Proven ability to build business cases and ROI/LTV models and connect marketing performance to financial outcomes.
- Organization & Ownership: Track record of independently running complex, multi-stakeholder programs with minimal oversight. Brings structure to ambiguous problems and documents plans clearly before execution.
- Communication & Executive Presence: Composed, confident presenter and strong writer who can distill complex analysis into concise, executive-ready insights and hold their own in senior- level discussions.
- Collaboration: Builds trust quickly across a global, matrixed organization and influences partners without direct authority.
Success Looks Like
- Operating independently within the first three months, with a clear command of program goals, the global roadmap, and test methodology.
- Serving as the recognized face of the program: leading global meetings and presenting results and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Establishing a repeatable, well-documented testing process that regional teams adopt with little hand-holding.
- Delivering reporting and recommendations that land the first time and directly shape investment decisions for engagement and retention.
