Title: QA/QC Program Engineer V

We are looking for a QA/QC Program Engineer V to support quality assurance, quality control, and commissioning activities for large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects. This role will work closely with construction, design, engineering, commissioning, operations, contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure project quality standards, documentation, testing, and compliance requirements are consistently achieved.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and monitor QA/QC program metrics and dashboards to evaluate project performance and identify quality trends.
  • Analyze quality issues, determine root causes, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with applicable project stakeholders.
  • Support the development and execution of onsite construction QA/QC and commissioning programs.
  • Develop, review, and improve QA/QC processes, standards, procedures, checklists, technical deliverables, and testing plans.
  • Coordinate quality activities across design, construction, engineering, commissioning, facility operations, contractors, and vendors.
  • Review mechanical, electrical, controls, piping, and other MEP submittals for quality and compliance with project requirements.
  • Audit QA/QC activities performed by project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Review commissioning scripts, energization plans, startup schedules, turnover packages, and testing documentation.
  • Support Level 2 through Level 5 construction, testing, startup, and commissioning activities.
  • Track and drive closure of project quality issues, non-conformances, and outstanding action items.
  • Participate in Factory Witness Tests (FWTs) and onsite inspections for owner-furnished and contractor-furnished equipment and systems.
  • Verify completion and retention of testing, inspection, labeling, signage, and turnover documentation.
  • Manage quality reporting, equipment tracking matrices, risk reporting, and project-specific QA/QC dashboards.
  • Work with third-party vendors and multiple stakeholders to manage project status, risks, deliverables, and overall QA/QC scope.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and quality control programs supporting data centers or mission-critical construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC and commissioning processes within data center or mission-critical environments.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, controls/I&C, and piping systems.
  • Experience supporting or leading QA/QC and commissioning programs.
  • Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction delivery models.
  • Experience working with mission-critical power, cooling infrastructure, and other critical systems.
  • Strong proficiency with quality and commissioning dashboards, information extraction, metrics analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to review technical documentation, submittals, commissioning plans, testing procedures, and project quality records.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 8+ years of relevant experience without a bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to work fully onsite five days per week in Montgomery, Alabama.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with BIM360 or similar construction document and issue management platforms.
  • Experience with Factory Witness Testing, equipment inspections, turnover documentation, energization, startup, and commissioning activities.
  • Experience with construction quality procedures, non-conformance management, corrective and preventive actions, and quality audits.
  • Strong document management systems skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technology aptitude and ability to use digital tools to improve efficiency in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across design, construction, engineering, operations, and vendor teams.
