Universal Human Rights Month

December 10th is the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a groundbreaking document set forth by the U.N. General Assembly to enshrine the inalienable rights of every human being. Because of this landmark declaration, the entire month of December is Universal Human Rights Month.

This year’s theme is “Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All” as a reminder that all people deserve these rights, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth, or other status.

As our world has faced many challenges over the past few years, it’s more important than ever that we come together and work toward preserving human rights for everyone. So, what can you do to help stand up for human rights? Start by educating yourself on current issues, work to listen to others, strive to uphold our rights and the rights of others, and work toward a more sustainable, just, and prosperous world.

Check out the resources below to learn more about how you can help today. Together, we can work toward a brighter future for all people.
